My mother has had a sewing machine since she was about 18 years old. When she was a senior high school student, she was not interested in the courses, which she had to study. Therefore, she decided to drop out the school and learned how to design and sew the clothes. The sewing machine was a gift from my grandfather.
The sewing machine is older than my age and is still in my house. There are two small cabinets on the right and left, which are full of all kinds of color spools of thread. The head of the sewing machine is made of iron and plastic. There is a platform on which my mother can darn the pants by a sewing machine. There are two iron pillars to hold the machine. With the electricity, there is a pedal on which my mother treads to start sewing the clothes.
When my mother has free time, she will buy the fabric and design the shirts, pants. She occasionally designs the clothes for me. She also uses a sewing machine to shorten our pants. The sewing machine is very important to her because it is unique and special in her heart.

I think your essay is clearly to understand. But there are also some mistakes. "which are full of all kinds of color spool of thread" should be "spools of thread"
"The sewing machine is very important to Mother..." The initial(Mother) should be spelled with a lowercase.
Dear Amanda:
Your essay were specific and clear.
In paragraph three:
When my mother has free time, she sometimes buys the fabric and designs the shirts, pants, etc. to sew. --> When my mother has free time, she sometimes buys the fabric and designs the shirts, pants, and so on to sew.
Hello Amanda~
Wow, we wrote the same topic “A sewing machine”.
Your essay is clear and specific. And the organization is appropriate.
Your topic is generally clear. I think you can tell more its history. And I am of the opinion that the sentences “My mother has a sewing machine since she might be about 18 years old” could be “My mother has had a sewing machine since she was about 18 years old” and “The sewing machine that was my grandfather sent it to her for a gift” could be “The sewing machine that was my grandfather sent it to her as a gift.”
